Backup and Recovery Audit Back to Services...
The iSeries provides all the tools necessary for full backup and recovery within it's operating system. However, in the event of data loss or corruption, if these are not properly configured or utilised serious problems can occur. i5 Consultancy can analyse your current backup strategy and advise on what changes are required and then assist you in the production of a full DR plan. The Backup and Recovery Audit would typically consist of:
- Full review of the IFS and all Libraries on the system
- Review of current backup strategy and tape rotation
- Review of current Recovery Strategy
At the end of this audit the customer would be provided with a report detailing what changes should be implemented to their current backup strategy and DR plan assuming that the backup changes have been implemented.
